These are just a few of our recommended maintenance intervals, and what should be done to your bike.

1,000 & 5,000 Mile Check-ups

  1. Oil and filter change
  2. Primary fluid change
  3. Transmission oil change
  4. Adjust primary chain
  5. Primary clutch adjust
  6. Clutch cable lubed
  7. Drive belt inspect/adjust
  8. Front and rear brakes inspect
  9. Shift linkage inspect
  10. Kickstand, footrest, lube
  11. Change and gap spark plugs
  12. Throttle inspect
  13. Check air filter, clean/replace

10,000 Mile Check-ups

  1. Oil and filter change

*Bikes built before 1999, it is recommended that in addition to all of the above, the wheel bearings and seals be changed.

Fluid Recomendations

Crankcase -

We recommend a good synthetic oil after break-in with "dino" or regular oil, our preference is Amsoil or Redline 20/50 wt High Performance.

Transmission -

We recommend Redline V-Twin Transmission with Shock Proof (synthetic), this stuff sticks to your drive gears like glue, guaranteeing lubrication when you need it.

Primary -

Any good synthetic, to keep your primary chain wet, you guessed it we prefer Redline Primary Case Oil.

Shop Rates

With the many different bikes we work on, we recommend that you call us or stop by for estimates and scheduling. Our regular shop rates are $75/hr, and oil changes are billed at ½ hour labor plus materials.

Break Down/Recovery

We provide bike recovery for up to 30 miles away during the summer riding season.
